Research area
- Search and research of biologically activity compounds of plant and animal origin: salsoline and ephedrine group alkaloids, plant extracts, of thionins components of snakes venom with cytotoxic test on KML cell line and on different tumor strains of animals.
Important results
- On the basis of the settlement molecular characteristics obtained earlier in laboratory monosucharides and the residues of amino acids molecular models N-glicanes, included erythropoietine carbohydrate fragments and O-glicanes, included extencine molecules are constructed.
The new mice melanoma cell line, named KML was obtained.
Sensitivity of cells of line KML to 23 clinical antineoplastic preparations of the different mechanism of action was determined and action more than 20 derivatives obtained on a basis of alkaloids salsoline and ethedrine was investigated.
It is created the test - system for screening on cytotoxicity, and metastasis model using of cellular line KML was obtained.
Practical application of results
- Screening of biologically active compounds in developed cellular test - system and in metastasis model.
Plans for future
- Screening of selected in vitro, biologically active cancerelytics on animals with different experimental tumours.
The establishment of structure - function relationship by using of methods of molecular modeling.
Revealing of some new antineoplastic compounds.
