   Research area
Investigation of the fundamental basis of physical and chemical properties of glycyrrhizic acid (GA), its derivatives and their molecular complexes with biological active substances.
   Important results
It has been improved a technology for preparation of technical and pure GA allowing to obtain of these compounds in sufficiently high purity content of main substance.

The study of physical and chemical properties of water solutions of GA and molecular complexes with tart remedies has shown that values of relative viscosity of these solutions to a marked degree depend on рН, t0, concentration of initial material, as well as nature of "guest" molecule.

On the basis of quantum-chemical calculations possible netlike and bilayer structures of gels, formed by GA and its derivatives in water solutions were offered.

It has been worked out the methods of synthesis of a number of derivatives of 3-0-acetoxyglycyrrhetinic acid with different amines, alkaloids, terpens, aminoalcohols.

There have been designed the methods of synthesis of diglycyrrhizinates of various transitional metals. It has been received their complexes with ammonia and ethylendiamin, and with their water soluble salts also.

It has been worked out the methods of synthesis of molecular complexes of 18bН - GA and its derivatives with different drugs and biologically active substances.
   Practical application of results

GLAS - an efficient antiinflammatory remedy, powerful inductor of interferon (finished pharmacological and toxycological studies).

GLILAGIN - an efficient hemostatic drug medicine of local action, finished pharmacological and toxycological studies.

LAGOVIN - an efficient hemostatic remedy for intravenous introduction (pharmacological and toxicological and standardization to substances studies have been terminated).

MEGOFERON - an efficient inductor of alfa-, beta-, gamma-interferons. Specific activity was determined.

Obtained preparations have more and much lower dose of acting origin, in comparison with analogous preparations, at conservation of high efficiency of therapeutic action, practically absence of toxicity, allergenic effect, etc.
   Plans for future
To study fundamental physical and chemical basis of gel formation of GA, its derivatives and their molecular complexes with biologically active substance.

Creation on the base of low and high molecular natural bioregulators new modified transport agents for medicines.

Creation of various medicine forms of Glas, Glilagin, Lagovin, Megaferon.
