Research area
- Determination of structure, functional and immunologic characteristics of toxins and enzymes from venoms of toad, snakes, spiders and scorpions.
Important results
- Structural and functional characteristics of toxins from venoms of animals of central Asia: black widow spider Latrodectus tridicimgutattus, Segestria florentina, hornet Vespa orientalis, green toad Bufo viridis, red californian worm Eisenia foetida are investigated.
The immunochemical characterization of toxic components of animal venoms is carried out. The polyvalent antiserum to venom of scorpion Buthus eupeus, black widow spider Latrodectus tridicimgutattus, Vipera lebetina, Naya oxiana, Vipera berus and Echis carinatus is prepared.
Practical application of results
- On a basis of toad venom domestic cardiotonic preparation "BAKAGIN" is created.
Specific immunosorbents on the basis of porous cellulose balls are developed
Plans for future
- Isolation and structural and functional characterization of toxins from insect venoms for creation insect resistant cotton grades.
