Research area
- Structurally functional characterization of bioregulators of an animal and vegetative origin.
Important results
- Cotton receptor proteins specific to ethylene, cytokinines, auxines have been isolated. Their structurally and functional parameters are studied. The method of competitive-receptor probe for pesticides analysis is developed.
The molecular mechanism of action of defoliants - phenylheterylurea derivatives is investigated.
The energetic characteristics of intermolecular complexes of a fragment of the active center of cytokinine receptor with some herbicides and defoliants are calculated by quantum-chemical method.
Fungi toxic peptides from cotton and ambary seeds are isolated
Practical application of results
- The biosensor for analysis of triazine and phenylurea pesticides on a basis of cotton cytokinine receptor is developed.
Plans for future
- Isolation and structurally and functional characterization of biocide peptides from Malvaceae seeds - effective against phytopathogene and pest insects with the purpose of creation of generically modified insect and fungiresistant cotton cultivars.
Development of test - system for selection pathogen resistant to new cotton cultivars.
